Over 400 berths, ranging from 30 to 53 feet. The double-fingered, concrete berths are connected by 7-foot-wide main walks. Variety of local businesses include a boat yard, canvas shop, yacht brokers, maintenance, and more. Facilities include the last surviving Alaska Packers Association building.

Access: Coming from the Bay, pass Coast Guard Island to port. Grand Marina is to starboard just past the island's southern tip. It is the second-to-last marina on the Estuary.

About Marinas

There are nearly 40 marinas in the central San Francisco Bay area, with a total of more than 11,000 slips. Many have some guest slips available for overnight visits. Some marinas have openings for permanent slips, but many have waiting lists.

About Guest Docks

There are few dedicated public guest docks on the bay. Many marinas have some guest slips available. If you're a member of a yacht club, other clubs can often offer a guest slip.

About Chandleries

Nearly every waterfront area has at least one chandlery not far from the shore. The West Marine stores dominate the Bay Area's boating supply scene, but a few independent chandleries remain, especially at boat yards and marinas.
