Founded in 1886 to promote small-boat yachting, only the San Francisco Yacht Club predates the Corinthian on the Pacific Coast. The Corinthian's large clubhouse with its Colonial Revival facade is one of the most prominent landmarks on Raccoon Strait. The club sponsors many events, including the annual Blessing of the Fleet, Opening Day, and Midwinter Races. The Tiburon marina belongs to the club.

Access: The clubhouse is easy to spot, as it is the largest waterfront building in Tiburon. Enter the marina at its east end, away from the clubhouse.

About Yacht Clubs

San Francisco Bay is ringed with yacht clubs, which provide a collegial atmosphere to relax with fellow boaters. Many sponsor races and cruises and have both sail and power events.
