Also known as San Francisco Small Craft Yacht Harbor, the San Francisco Marina includes two separate areas, called the West Basin and the East Basin (also known as Gashouse Cove). The gas dock is in the East Basin, adjacent to Fort Mason. The West Basin, at the other end of Marina Green, is home to the St. Francis and Golden Gate Yacht Clubs. The entire facility has 671 berths, plus ten end ties for guest berthing vessels up to 100 feet LOA, free pump-out stations and a commercial fuel dock. John Moran, Harbormaster.

Access: The West Basin is the closest marina to the Golden Gate; it is east of Chrissy Field. The East Basin is a few hundred yards to the east, and is easily identified by the large warehouse piers of Fort Mason on its east side.

About Marinas

There are nearly 40 marinas in the central San Francisco Bay area, with a total of more than 11,000 slips. Many have some guest slips available for overnight visits. Some marinas have openings for permanent slips, but many have waiting lists.

About Guest Docks

There are few dedicated public guest docks on the bay. Many marinas have some guest slips available. If you're a member of a yacht club, other clubs can often offer a guest slip.

About Fuel Docks

There's only a few places on the bay where you can get fuel. All fuel docks have both gas and diesel, and most have pump-outs as well.
